EmiTrack is the scientific decision-support application developed and operated by the Net-Zero Carbon Emission Lab at KNUST for Ghana’s upstream petroleum sector.

Evidence that remains connected to its limits.

EmiTrack converts routine production information into a source-resolved emissions inventory, international comparisons and transparent policy scenarios. It is designed to support research, regulatory preparation and partner dialogue—not to replace measurement campaigns, statutory reporting or independent verification.

The application keeps measured activity, adopted emission factors, uncertainty, modelled futures and policy tests visibly distinct so that each result can be interpreted on its proper evidential basis.

Petroleum Commission

The Petroleum Commission provides the regulatory setting and is the custodian of the routine upstream production records used by the research.
